Welcome to the 8th Annual Ed Murphey Classic part of the PUMA American Track League. We're back in the Birthplace of Rock 'N Roll with World-class track & field competition in Memphis, TN! The 2024 event will once again be categorized as a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver event and will be broadcasted live on Peacock!
We have an exciting NEW FORMAT in 2024 with an all field event program on Thursday July 11th, track events on July 12th, and the popular Beale Street Games on July 13th!
We could not have thought of a better way to remember our friend and former University of Tennessee track standout Ed Murphey than to have elite track & field athletes compete right here in the Bluff City! We’ll have music, food trucks, beer vendors, merchandise, the PUMA Fan Zone, special local guests, and of course, World-class Track & Field!
ALL proceeds from merchandise, concessions, registration fees, and tickets go to LOCAL YOUTH PROGRAMS!
MISSION
The mission of the Murphey Track Club is to empower Memphis youth to pursue healthy lifestyles through track & field competition and FREE clinics and coaching! The annual Ed Murphey Classic gives youth athletes in the Memphis area an opportunity to meet and be inspired by World-class athletes. Ultimately, we aim to Keep Our Kids On The Right Track!
