Welcome to the 10th Annual Ed Murphey Classic! After the event finished as the top performing track and field event in the WORLD of its category, we're back in the Birthplace of Rock 'N Roll with World-class track & field competition in Memphis, TN! The 2026 event promises to be better than ever with additional Beale Street events on July 11th and a brand new USA Track & Field partnership! Stay tuned for updates coming soon!
We could not have thought of a better way to remember our friend and former University of Tennessee track standout Ed Murphey than to have elite track & field athletes compete right here in the Bluff City! We’ll have music, food trucks, beer vendors, merchandise, an after party trackside with a DJ for fans and athletes, and of course, World-class Track & Field!
ALL proceeds from merchandise, concessions, registration fees, and tickets go to LOCAL YOUTH PROGRAMS!
MISSION
The mission of the Ed Murphey Classic is to empower Memphis youth to pursue healthy lifestyles through track & field competition and FREE clinics and coaching! The annual Ed Murphey Classic gives youth athletes in the Memphis area an opportunity to meet and be inspired by World-class athletes. Ultimately, we aim to Keep Our Kids On The Right Track!
